Some years ago the ARI of Mondovì created the Italian Castles Award and you
can find everything about it on the site www.dcia.it.
Italy is well known to be a country literally filled with historical and
artistical beauties. This award was created also to help people discover
small italian towns and less known castles and fortifications, nevertheless beautiful
and fascinating.
With the aid of my Icom IC-706-MkIIg, I began activating some Italian castles,
magnificient but pratically unknown even to Italians, in the eastern part of the
Frosinone province.
At the early beginning I even discovered that a tower was not included in the
official DCIA list, so i signaled it and it became a new award reference. It is
the FR-083 Torre di Fontechiari.
I will put here everything about my activity for this award.
